This financial year M & C Accountants is committed to being there for our clients but also contributing to our community.
In June we reached out to our clients to check in and it reminded us about our why and how we love to be the people that our clients can rely on to support them. The team they can rely on to keep them up to date and heading in the right direction.
We have now decided that to fulfil our role in our community, we will perform at least one act of kindness each month and record it here!

July - We gifted 31 nights (one for every night in July) to help a Melbournian struggling on our streets to have a warm bed, hot meal and clean clothes for the night.

August - We have committed to spending 2 hours at a surrounding community centre to participate in the Dignity Packing Event. Here we will donate toiletries and also create packages to be passed on to the homeless.
September - This month we are working with Make a Wish Foundation, children with cancer, to donate a sandbox for a special garden play area.

October - It was a joy spending time with the year 11's of Emmanuel College, sitting as part of the panel conducting their mock interviews. Such a wonderful initiative and great to see so many promising students.
November - After chatting about out 2025/2026 Goal. This month saw donations to charities clients had a strong connection with. They were Beyond Blue, Dementia Australia and Movember.
December - This month we donated our time on Christmas day by volunteering on Christmas Day to help serve and chat to the less fortunate while they ate a community prepared meal. It was great experience and great to see organisations still exist to help those in need.
January - Having enjoyed lasts month volunteering, January saw us take two elderly individuals out for a coffee at a local cafe to get them out of the house and spend an hour lifting their spirits.

February - Saw us put our artistic skills to work. We purchased and painted ceramic plates which were then galvanised and given to the children at YPAC (a foundation of Children with Disabilities) to use.

March - This month we donated to the Point Cook Fire Brigade Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Our children deserve the smiles these donations give.
April - This month we caught up with Grace from Helping Hampers Point Cook. Grace explained how the number of people needing assistance has grown. She packs hampers from her home and delivers them directly to families in need. We contributed 3 family hampers to help the community.
May - May saw us donate to the Italian Social Club's Cuppa for Cancer. we did not attend the event but were happy knowing our money went to a good cause.
June - Following on from May we donated to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. It's tough hearing that one in every two people will be diagnosed with cancer, let alone the people actually going through it. Supporting cancer research felt like a great cause for our June donation.
As we are now at the end of our monthly commitment for donating we are certain of a few things. It was an eye opening and enjoyable experience, but most importantly, we will never stop supporting good causes.
